Been ages since I posted, but just wanted to share this. I just read about John Stutz' new book, Fit Girls, Volume 1. Looks like it might be nice. To me it looks sexy but non-exploitative (as far as I can see)--positive images of the kinds of physique that I love and aspire to one day inhabit. What do you all think? Does this look cool, or is it just borderline fitness porn. I dig it, personally.

Here's the cover:

Here's the site where it's for sale (not cheap, at $110 a copy!), and you can see some big pics from the book clicking this link.

Here's a few from Stutz' online portfolio that I liked:

xoxo

Wyst

I've been terrible about posting here. I'm resolved to post more this year--at least a couple pics a week. Let's get things started with a pic or two of me. My legs and my backa re the only parts of me that look like bodyparts of someone who lifts at all. So, here're my legs. What do you think?

I love me some Margaret (Maggie) Diubaldo. She's quite a looker, and she's in amazing shape. I tend to idolize bodybuilders more than fitness types, but you gotta respect her amazing look. That's a lot of hard work, right there. I love this pic, because I've got a bowflex myself, and, well, it helps me fantasize...er...visualize myself in better shape. ;)

On her site, she says about her routine and diet:

I try to have a high level of protein in my diet from natural sources of foods.
I don't drop my carbohydrates significantly and try to eat all my complex carbohydrates during the day.

Drink at least 3-4 liters of water a day.
Eat 5-7 small meals a day.
My caloric intake is around 2000-2500 calories a day depending on my activity level.

Here is one example of how I eat in a day
#1 1 cup egg whites 1 serving oatmeal ½ cup fruit
#2 Protein shake
#3 Chicken breast ½ cup brown rice 1 cup mixed veggies
#4 Chicken breast 3 oz yams 1 cup mixed veggies
#5 Protein shake
#6 1 serving of fish ¼ cup nuts Salad

Supplements:

Protein
Glutamine
Creatine
Variety of Vitamins
Flax/hemp oil

Her training schedule:

I always do 1 hour of cardio in the morning on an empty stomach 6 days a week. When preparing for a competition I will add an extra short cardio session at the end of the day

My resistance training split is as follows:

Day 1 Legs
Day 2 Shoulders Abs
Day 3 Back
Day 4 Arms
Day 5 Chest and leg plyos
Day 6 Off
Day 7 Cardio Abs

The result is a hell of a nice body.
So, my name is Wyst, and I'm totally into female athletes, fitness competitors, and bodbuilders--especially bodybuilders. Why? Because I want to be one, that's why. I don't think there are enough images of strong women out there, so I'm starting my own LJ about them to promote/share/spread the idea as much as I can. Not sure what form that will take, but probably I'll be posting lots of links and so on. I might also start a community, if there's any interest. We'll see. This is an experiment, for now. Oh, I'm Japanese, so I'm def. going to be most interested in images of strong Asian women, most likely...

xoxo

Wyst
